On Thursday, January 26th; A. Benjamin Mannes will be joining a panel of experts to address Gangs and cover the new book: “THE GANG LIFE: LAUGH NOW CRY LATER – SUPPRESSION AND PREVENTION” at the Union League in Philadelphia; Lincoln Memorial Hall at 5:30PM.
Mannes was a contributor to the book, highlighting his experiences both in federal & municipal law enforcement in New York and Washington and as a youth growing up in Los Angeles & New York during the turbulent “crack explosion” of the 1980s and 90s. The panel, hosted by the Union League chapter of the American Legion; will cover the state of gang-related crime in America today and discuss ways for law enforcement and the public to work together to address the issue.
